About

I have only unserious pictures of me.

Who is Fabi?

I decided to study chemistry after going to the International Chemistry Olympiad*, then worked a few years in laboratories and was briefly a member of the country’s research community. However, I’ve liked using PCs and automating stuff since forever, so now I work in IT.

Although I’m a science guy, I dig art as well. Metal and EDM are common in my playlists, and I took piano lessons as a kid —first, because I wanted to have a big brain! Then I moved to electric guitar thanks to Green Day. On the other hand, I read books since a very young age, and I’ve taken part on several writing workshops throughout life. I’d love to take some classes on a Latin dance rhythm to honor my Argentinian blood, but so far I still don’t got it.

The world and its people make me extremely curious. Ideally I’d live for a while in every place, practicing the language, and get to know the mindset from different cultures. It would help me overcome a certain ‘fear’ of what I can do.

* I’m in the middle, behind the Argentinian flag.

Why write?
#

The idea of starting a blog occurred to me when I first moved to another city. Becoming independent was hard, so the blog’s first entry and the next ones are about that process, as a way to manage emotions.

Also, I was never good remembering. Multiple times during meetings with friends and family, they told anecdotes, commented on business and fun trips, or even random daily things. I would love to be one of those people, but my stories only come to mind while writing. Therefore this place acts as a memory vault of sorts.

Likewise, after I finished a course on debate and logic, I realized that as human, there are multiple holes in my beliefs. Whether to find out what my opinion on a topic actually is, or to analyze how realistic or biased it is, there are little better alternatives to writing an article. I publish them here in case somebody online was wondering the same as I was.

Ultimately, the goal is to make life into art, for which the written word has always been the best instrument at my disposal. Beyond my worldview or curiosity, I want to produce great fiction. I’m working regularly on short stories, but some day I’ll dare to write a novel, maybe.

If this resonates with you, feel free to join me for the ride. Thanks for reading through to the end!
